This research explores the concept of digital entrepreneurship as a key driver in the transformation towards a digital economy, with a focus on its role in reshaping economic activities and creating new business models based on technology. The research aims to analyze the relationship between the development of digital entrepreneurship and the growth of the digital economy by reviewing major global trends and enabling technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, and digital platforms. The research adopts a descriptive-analytical methodology supported by selected case studies of digital startups, aiming to examine the impact of digital innovation on value creation, job generation, and productivity enhancement. It also addresses the challenges faced by digital entrepreneurs, such as limited funding, regulatory constraints, and the shortage of digital competencies. The research concludes that digital entrepreneurship not only supports the digital transformation of economies but also represents a fundamental component in building a more resilient and sustainable economy—especially amid rapid global changes. The research recommends the need to establish a supportive regulatory and legislative environment, provide appropriate digital infrastructure, and promote innovation and digital education to ensure the continuity of this vital role.
