The Impact of Banking Financial Information Systems on Enhancing Banking Financial Performance (An Applied Study of a Sample of Iraqi Private Banks)

Abstract

The research aimed to identify the role of banking financial information systems in enhancing banking financial performance. In order to achieve the objectives of the current research, the researcher relied on the descriptive approach to describe the subject to be studied through a correct scientific methodology, for accurate and unbiased measurement and analysis of numerical data collected through questionnaires or surveys, and statistically and mathematically analyzing the data or through the SPSS program, through a sample of Iraqi private banks that included (Bank of Baghdad, Iraqi Credit Bank, National Bank of Iraq), which The number of individuals selected from these banks amounted to (150) individuals (managers, divisional officials, employees), according to a set of demographic variables, and the sample was subjected to a reliability test / Cronbach's Alpha Coefficient. To collect the necessary data and information, a two-part questionnaire was designed: the first on the demographic variables of the research sample, and the second on the two research variables. The researcher relied on previous studies to formulate the paragraphs related to each of the research variables. The researcher was careful to verify the basic statistical characteristics of the questionnaire before applying it to the research sample by verifying its validity and reliability. After ensuring these characteristics, the questionnaire was applied to the current research sample. The study reached the following results: The study found a statistically significant correlation and influence between the impact of banking financial information systems in terms of (speed (timeliness, suitability), creativity and development, and operational efficiency) on enhancing banking financial performance in the banks under study. The study recommended the need to focus on the dimensions within banking financial information systems that are relevant and influential in enhancing banking financial performance, while emphasizing the importance of organizing and directing financial operations within the banks under study with high efficiency.
