Abstract

The research aims to study the possibility of implementing a project quality management system according to )ISO 10006:2017( by analyzing the gap between the actual reality in the Oil Projects Company / 33 kV Secondary Power Station Project in Al-Muftiya and the project management system requirements according to the mentioned specification. The research adopted a case study methodology using a checklist prepared by the researcher based on the international specification clauses, along with field observation, personal interviews with project engineers, implementers, project manager, and field experience to reach accurate scientific results. Data analysis was conducted using weighted arithmetic mean, percentage measurement, and gap size analysis. Results showed a 47% gap between actual reality and specification requirements, while compliance rate with its items reached 53%. The study concluded that there is a need to enhance attention to implementing the quality management system according to ISO 10006:2017 and keep pace with modern developments in this field, due to its positive impact on achieving competitive advantage for the company.
